Do I Move Forward or Remain Still?

There always comes a time in life where we have to make a decision where we either move forward from a situation or be still and let the situation play out on it's own. As a people of faith, we often look to God to help us in this decision. We can always rely on God to help us make the best decision in this time.
God wants us to move forward only when He says so. He will talk to us in subtle ways and sometimes the answer is right in front of us. God often uses moments of stillness to soften our heart. He can also use this moment to open our eyes to see the bigger picture of what He is getting ready to bring into your life. These moments of stillness can also offer rest. Even in the most uncomfortable situations God can show us things that we often ignore in moments of stillness.
So how do we know what God wants us to do? The grand key is to ask God directly and listen. Listen to God. He speaks to us but we are usually too busy trying to figure it out on our own and handle it ourselves, that we miss out on the answer. God doesn't play games, He doesn't hide. He knows what is good for you and good to you. Trust Him to direct you in the season that you are in. And no matter what the answer may be, God is always right.
In closing, Psalm 46:10 assures us that in stillness, He is still with us and that He remains the same. When we are in search of Him, He is already there and He will direct our paths May we continue to sit in stillness whilst waiting on the answers we seek from God.
